I am recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of independent medical reports and occupational health support for Occupational Health Nurse Assessors. The company are based in new offices in Durham with brand new technology and equipment. They are a forward thinking company who are at a very exciting phase. Due to the quick growth of the department they are seeking permanent staff and also ad hoc staff to start with immediate effect. They are willing to wait for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be required to travel and work at external customer locations as required by the needs of the service.
Reporting to the Lead Occupational Health Nurse you will work as an autonomous practitioner, managing own work as a nurse health professional within Occupational Health & Wellbeing.
To undertake Occupational Health activities providing professional services and advice in sickness absence management and vocational rehabilitation and provide advisory services for customer employees, managers and new customer clinical on-boarding.
To provide an effective sickness absence and vocational rehabilitation case management service for managers and employees of external customers.
• To provide professional advice to customer employees and their line managers during periods of ill health and / or sickness absence, along with detailed medical reports summarising recommendations in accordance with best practice and the Equality Act.
•Advise managers of appropriate identified employees health surveillance programmes to comply with current and future Health & Safety Law
.• Deliver presentations / training sessions to promote employee health and wellbeing
• Attend appropriate meetings
• Conduct health promotion and wellbeing activities
• Take part in internal audits
