Military Drafted in as Healthcare Services Struggle in Snow

Military personnel have been helping Healthcare services deliver critical care to patients across the UK as the snow continues to cause disruption. Such interventions are rare and this demonstrates the seriousness of the current situation.

As well as difficulties in commuting to a single place of work, such as a hospital or GP clinic, the snow has caused particular difficulties for community based services and those delivering emergency response services.

The military have been providing assistance in Leicestershire by ensuring key personnel are able to get to fixed locations. They have also been assisting community services.
